A Bit About Me
Hi, I’m Rhyanne, the therapist behind Fallow Psychotherapy.
My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped by both my education and my own experiences with mental health. Mental health challenges have impacted my family in significant ways, including losing people who meant so much to me. Experiencing that loss gave me a deeper understanding of how mental health impacts not only the individual, but also the people around them. It also showed me how important it is to have support, connection, and someone willing to sit with you through difficult moments.
Before completing my graduate degree, I volunteered with the crisis line at Klinic Community Health in Winnipeg. This experience allowed me to support individuals during some of their most difficult moments and reinforced my passion for creating spaces where people feel heard, understood, and supported.
I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Winnipeg and my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Through my education, clinical training, and experience, I have worked with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the many different ways stress can impact mental health.
A significant area of interest in my practice is supporting first responders, including police officers, firefighters, paramedics, RCMP members, military personnel, veterans, and their families. With immediate family members who work in first responder professions, I have a personal appreciation for the dedication, responsibility, and challenges that can come with these roles. I understand that the impact of this work often extends beyond the workplace and can affect relationships, family life, and overall well-being.
I approach therapy with curiosity, honesty, and a genuine interest in getting to know the person sitting across from me. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a collaborative conversation — one where you can be yourself, explore what's been challenging, and work toward changes that feel meaningful for you.
